I was on my way to pick up some groceries with my mom the day before Thanksgiving. A guy in my class that I liked was at the grocery store! I didn't want him to see me there because I had my pajama pants on and was wearin an ugly jacket! I also had no makeup on and I usually wear a lot of makeup at school!

So I told my mom I had to go to the bathroom but really I hid in the crackers aisle hoping he wouldn't see me. I saw him coming so I was about to dash into the next aisle but I bumped into a cute stock boy and made him drop all the cans he was holding! And of course the guy in my class heard and saw this and he laughed at me!

My mom found me and yelled at me from across the store right in front of these two guys because she saw me just standing there beside them and she had to get going. I apologized to the stock boy, and I told the guy in my class to have a happy thanksgiving and that I'd see him at school after the holidays. He said he wasn't celebrating because he lived alone with his dad who got stuck working that day.

My mom was walking up to me and heard him say everything! I guess she felt bad for him because she said, "Oh Madyson, is this your friend Chris?". Even though he wasn't really my friend, he was just a guy that I really liked and I told everyone I was friends with him... I know... it's embarrassing... Anyways, next thing I knew she told him he's welcome to come over to our house. He said, "No thanks. I don't want to be rude, but I don't really know you guys...".

I was humiliated! Why would my mom just go and invite him over? So my mom gave him our phone number anyways and said if he changes his mind he is very welcome to come for dinner, and he can get to know us. But he still said, "No Thanks."

After the thanksgiving weekend, and back at school, I walked in and everyone was making fun of me for being so obsessed with Chris, telling my family about him when he hardly knows me, and "begging" him to come to my house for thanksgiving to meet my parents! Even though I didn't, my mom did!

I was spending Thanksgiving with my boyfriend Ted for the first time. I didn't know how to cook and I wanted to impress him with my cooking skills so I ordered food from a restaraunt: sliced turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetables, pasta, and meatballs.

While he was watching football I told him I had to run the the store to get some ingredients. I really went to the restaurant to pick up the food. I had old plastic grocery bags in the car, so I put the restaraunt bags into those, to make it look like I went grocery shopping.

I came into the house and Ted was still busy watching football. I made it sound like I was cooking, and I put all the restaruant food into bowls and pots and pans and threw away the packages and paper bags they came in. I made it look like I really cooked it all!

So I told him dinner was ready, just in time! His game had just ended. As he was eating, he was complimenting me on what a great cook I was! After dinner he was helping me with the dishes and he noticed a receipt was stuck under one of the pots.

Maybe he wouldn't have bothered to read it, if it didn't have a giant Applebee's logo on the top of it! We hadn't ate there in months! He read everything that I bought, and was really mad at me for lying. On the plus side he saw how much everything cost and he gave me half the money for it! On the down side, he broke up with me because he couldn't trust me and didn't understand why I lied to him for months about what a great cook I was!
