One of the fastest and most effective ways to get fit and lose tons of weight is to try military exercises! They usually consist of endurance and strength training while at the same time doing high lactic acid threshold training. In other words, the goal in military exercises are: Fat loss, coordination, strength, and stamina. The routines are generally very hardcore, but on the plus side they don’t take up too much time, so if you’re quite busy, this may be just what you need to get into shape ASAP. We’ve got Navy / Armed Forces Veteran Danny L. to provide us with a few tips and exersizes he endured during his aircrew training! To the left is our gorgeous and stunning military model, Shanita, who is August’s cover model!

First off the hardest thing about military training is really pushing yourself. There were times when we would get sick with the flu and still have to push ourselves to do these exercises. It didn’t matter if it was raining or snowing. Under all circumstances, nothing stopped us.

Here’s what we did daily:

While this seems pretty simple, keep in mind that this is on a daily basis, whether you’re sick or just simply don’t feel like doing it. We had to.

On top of all this, they had to do other things like swimming in full uniform, and blindfolded.

This is exactly what Danny says about his aircrew training at first…”Why do u want to know this stuff? lol and it was a 1 mile swim in the pool. We couldnt touch the ground or walls or we would fail. We had on our full flight suits and flight boots and only had one hour to do it.”

So it does get tougher, and there were other more harsh things we had to do, but the basic daily exercises is what really prepares your body for anything and keeps you toned and in shape.

Other things that can help you burn fat quickly to to focus on one muscle group. Flex your abs all the time. Eventually it becomes a habit and you’ll constantly be flexing (and strengthining) your abs. You can also pretend that you’re sitting on a chair and hold it for as long as possible. Doing this to music helps. At first I could only hold this stance for about ten seconds, but now I can go for about 15 minutes sitting on an invisible chair.

Which will flatter you the most?

In today’s society, we idolize celebrities. We want to look like them in every way, from the hair style, to the makeup, clothes, and even accessories. The problem with summer is trying to find a good pair of sunglasses that will compliment your unique face shape. Most girls in Hollywood tend to wear those shades that are larger than life, but they don’t flatter every face. Just because an actress or famous person is wearing a certain pair of sunglasses that looks fabulous on them, does not mean that it will translateperfectly on your face too. Sunglasses are definitely a must-have accessory for everyone. In Phoenix, it’s impossible to even go to your mailbox without wearing sunglasses. But this is because the sun is pretty much always shining and not hidden behind clouds. The suns rays are all around us, and can damage our eyes even if we can see outside without squinting. While they are neccessary to have, you still want to look great in them. The cost of a great pair of sunglasses is no laughing matter either. They can be extremely costly, unless you plan to buy the fake ones on eBay that will likely offer no UVA protection, and will break within a few weeks. If you’re going to spend a large amount of your paycheck on a pair of sunglasses, you should make certain that they will compliment your face and make you look your best. Just because Hannah Montana is wearing them, does not mean they will look good on you.

Keep in mind, there are 7 basic face shapes:

1. Oval – If you have and oval face shape, you’re in luck. Most sunglasses will compliment your face. Bear in mind, you’ll need to keep the size of the sunglass frames in proportion to your face. Don’t get frames that are too big or too small in other words.

2. Circle – This face shape will benefit the most from frames with straight or angular lines in order to make the face appear longer and thinner. Avoid round styled sunglasses. A great pair to try is KC6063 by Kenneth Cole.

3. Square – The best look for the squared face shape are slightly curved sunglasses with weight on top of the frames to create a longer and less angular face. A good method to try is to make sure your eyebrows can be seen above the frames. Showing off your eyebrows will make your face appear longer. A great pair to try is Tom Ford “Charles.”

4. Heart – Maintain your fabulous great cheekbone structure by wearing just a slightly oval and rectangular shaped pair of sunglasses. Dsquared2 makes a nice pair that fits this description.

5. Oblong – The RC 458s sunglasses by Roberto Cavalli is a classic example of how to break up the length of an oblong face.

6. Base Up Triangle – Frames with thin rims look best on this shape. Avoid large square frames for the best look. Tom Ford’s “Alexei” looks fabulous on your face shape.

7. Base Down Triangle – Try to draw attention to the top of your face by wearing semi-rimless or top-heavy sunglasses. Tom Ford’s “Astrid” is a great example.

Now that you know which types of sunglasses will look best on your face, you can easily look for what’s hot right now and mix it with what’s hot on your face! Here are some tips to help you chose from the latest styles:

The retro look is one of the trendiest types of sunglasses and has been for the past few seasons. “Geek chic” frames are all the rage right now, and so are aviator style (as seen in Top Gun). These frames are most complimentary for the square face shape. The Wayfarer style is very tredny right now too, (Tom Cruise was wearing these frames in Risky Business).
